White Fillings

Whether the old-school silver fillings are bad for your health is up for debate. But one thing that’s not is how cosmetically unappealing they are. No one wants to worry that their friends and colleagues see a mouth full of silver when they laugh, so it’s a good thing the Cosmetic Dentistry Group is here to offer a solution: White Fillings.

WHAT ARE WHITE FILLINGS?

White fillings are also known as composite bonding, which basically means they are made out of a tooth-coloured plastic paste that can be moulded into various shapes. The texture will often match the texture of your teeth, which is another reason why these Fillings are preferable. It is, however, unsuitable for larger cavities.

WHAT CAN THE COSMETIC DENTISTRY GROUP DO FOR YOU?

Dentists at the Cosmetic Dentistry Group will discuss your concerns with you and examine your teeth. Our highly experienced dentists will then numb the area to be treated with a local anaesthetic if necessary. If you’re a nervous patient, be sure to ask our trained dentists about sedation dentistry.

Our dentists will clean the tooth and then roughen it to make sure the composite bonds with the surface. The very skilled Cosmetic Dentistry Group dentists will then apply the composite in very thin layers, using a special light to harden it between layers. We will then buff and polish the composite to make sure it blends in with the rest of your teeth and feels natural.

Our dentists are all very experienced in dental bonding, and they all have the artistic eye to make sure your filling looks natural. We will also discuss putting a clear plastic coating over the Filling to make sure that what you eat and drink doesn’t stain it.

We will also advise you on the best aftercare to ensure your White Filling keeps you grinning into the future.
