Invisalign

Let’s face it: you might want to straighten out your crooked teeth, but no one wants to look like Ugly Betty for three or four years. Luckily, orthodontics has moved with the times, and here at the Cosmetic Dentistry Group, we offer the latest appliances for straightening your teeth. Including Invisalign invisible braces, which means that after a few appointments with us, you can sort out your smile without having a mouth full of metal for a few years.

WHAT IS INVISALIGN?

Invisalign is a great system for straightening teeth or closing gaps that uses the latest technology to produce a set of see-through plastic braces. They will fit your teeth exactly and move them into the smile you want over time – often, between a year and 18 months. You can remove the brace while you eat and brush your teeth.

WHAT CAN THE COSMETIC DENTISTRY GROUP DO FOR YOU?

The highly experienced dentists at the Cosmetic Dentistry Group will assess your orthodontic needs on your first visit. We’ll discuss your needs with you and determine whether this system is right for you, how long it will take and how much it is likely to cost. We’re all certified as Invisalign providers, and this first consultation is free.

If this system is right for you, our dentists will take a mould of your teeth to ensure the braces fit perfectly. We will also take photos of your teeth and smile, allowing a 3D model of your teeth to be made at the Invisalign laboratory. This is where the magic happens: software models how your teeth will move from their current position into the smile you’ve always dreamed of.

From this, your braces are made and sent back to your dentist, where you review the model and get a preview of your new smile. You will need to change your braces every two weeks, to make sure that your teeth are always moving and your braces are always working. But our understanding dentists will help you with this, and give you all the advice and information you need.

Our dentists will also advise you that you should wear the braces for around 22 hours a day – but no less than 20 – and schedule regular check-ups to make sure everything is going to plan.

When your treatment is complete, we will advise you on the best aftercare to ensure long-term results that you are happy with…
